A recent Fermob photo shoot for the Cargo outdoor table shows that anything goes when it comes to colour in the garden.

This garden is typical of many a garden - green grass, trees and shrubs with hard landscaping in natural materials, either neutral coloured stones or timber decking. A blank canvas that perfectly illustrates the impact of incorporating colour into outdoor furniture settings.

Each of these photos feature the Cargo table from Fermob with three different outdoor chair options all in different colour combinatins.

The combinations all work well together but each gives the space a different vibe or personality. The first is my favourite but I like all three for different reasons, here's why:
Pops of green add vibrancy to this outdoor furniture setting.

The nutmeg keeps this outdoor setting neutral and earthy while the verbena adds some fun and vibrance. Alone verbena can appear bright however when paired with nutmeg it tones it down yet still allows the verbena to highlight the greens in the surrounding garden.

Earthy tones allow outdoor furniture to blend with the garden.

In this setting the more earthy tones of paprika have been combined with nutmeg and steel grey. A more neutral and rustic combination that tends to blend more with the surroundings .The steel grey highlights the bark of the nearby trees while the paprika and nutmeg draw your attention to the boules court in the background.

Bright contrasting colours focus your attention on the outdoor furniture setting.

And finally a contemporary colour combination. The liquorice table, chairs and bench provide a contemporary base colour while the addition of four honey chairs makes this setting pop. This setting holds your attention in its own right and contrasts against the natural background colours. This has the affect of focusing your attention on the table setting rather than viewing the garden as a whole.

The opportunity to see the same garden with three different outdoor furniture settings really hightlights the options colour offers in terms of creating an outdoor dining area that suits your personality.

The outdoor furniture in all of these images is from Fermob, for more information on each collection and pricing please contact us.
