Bringing Cedar Green into out the light. We look at some contemporary colour schemes to highlight the versatility and depth of this traditional colour.

Cedar Green holds the illustrious title of the oldest colour in the Fermob colour chart. And while it is 'the' traditional garden colour it is also a contemporary, rich hue that adds depth to schemes that are very much of the moment and on-trend.

Here's our three favourites:

Sophisticated Island Style

A fun, lively approach to a tropical scheme, Lagoon Blue conjurs up images of calm coastal waters while Fuchsia pink Hibisucs accent the lush green landscape.

Warm Neutral

This green on green scheme compliments a coastal NZ native garden where ferns, grasses, pukas and hebes coexist in a spectrum of green.

Bold Tropical

A fresh palm inspired combination. Verbena and Cotton White add freshness and light while Anthracite adds a contemporary edge. Cedar lends itself to any tropical insipred scheme, complimenting the deep green featured in many tropical plants.

Cedar Green is definitely a garden green, regardless of whether your garden is tropical, native, contemporary or cottage. Adding Cedar to your outdoor furniture scheme really grounds the setting in its enviroment and connects it with the garden.
