Suspended in mid-air
Luxury safari lodge Angama Mara is perched on the rim of Africa’s Great Rift Valley where the sky melts into a sweeping vista of endless savannah. The Swahili word that inspired its name translates to ‘suspended in mid-air’. It overlooks the Maasai Mara, an area of preserved wilderness located in southwest Kenya along the Tanzanian border. The lodge comprises a 700-hectare site that borders the Mara triangle, an area renowned for the journey of Africa’s wildlife known as the Great Migration.

Going on Safari
Angama Mara is uniquely positioned for guests to go on safari to view the Africa’s large mammals, take a ride in a hot air balloon above the valley, or simply relax and enjoy the remarkable surrounds. A sole-use luxury tented camp allows guests to venture further into the Mara, capturing the adventurous spirit of the Golden Age of safaris with all the comforts of 21 st century camping.
